🗣️“They’ve come for me too! If they think they can scare me, my family, or my friends – they’re wrong. In the end, we will still win,” Formula TV journalist Keta Tsitskishvili reports being arrested in new wave of detentions targeting #GeorgiaProtests.

Strange...
Hey, English speaking, majority light skinned population, countries North of the Equator.

You're only missing Ireland then, otherwise there really are no other "peers"... 🤪
Reading the headline, yeah, was gonna say if this actually goes down then at least some good will have come out of the whole story.
Um. This is a 2 months old story?

(Like, I had missed it back then, and it is pretty bad for the regime, but still - you need to point out its not current! )

Republican rhetoric all week was clearly aiming to either depress turnout or inspire visible maga pushback. Neither happened and the press doesn’t seem particularly interested in exploring the implications of that.

There were almost definitely more Trump voters participating in the rallies than there were counterprotesting.

Murdoch seems at least somewhat concerned that he might come out of a fascist entrenchment worse off
(completely justified, I'd say, because decision making is on a whim and arbitrary, and anyone can fall from grace with "dear leader").
Bit late, but came to me later:

Just one example of how the police are not in the regime's pocket (even if this ICE agent seems to assume they should be - perhaps with a helping of hoping for sympathy for being with his kids):

bsky.app/profile/davi...
An ICE agent, who is being arrested for drunk driving and nearly killing his little kids & others, tries to stop the arrest by racially profiling the officers arresting him. Amazing to watch the courtesy given to him as he is belligerent and uncooperative
Considering joining after realising as a UK citizen (even if I don't have a passport yet, and haven't been a resident since I was a kid), I'm probably eligible :).

I want in :P !
Really, what is satire?

These dudes in the US and the UK, they are beyond washed 🤣 .

I mean its sad for the people there of course, but I really am laughing here at the stupid, stupid, stupidity of it all :P .

And then you had a smug group of people so convinced of themselves there was little point (or at least that's what it felt like) to try to get the article renamed...

(They weren't even climate deniers, from what I can tell - actually pretty active and balanced contributors to climate related stuff)
Like, the article on Climate Change was for (what felt like forever) called "Global warming".

This made it totally sucky to find, and of course people would blindly link to the "Climate Change" article instead (which was about geological timescale changes in climate...).
I used to be a pretty engaged "Wikipedian" (mostly on Wikinews though actually...).

But one thing that turned me off a lot was (at least back then - I'd wager now as well), a lot of articles were very "turfy" -> there were a couple editors that kept an eye on them, effectively claiming control.

I think we can lay the groundwork to win this. @hammerandhope.bsky.social ran an interview with the folks who won Build Public Renewables in New York, lessons there worth checking out

Brilliant messaging :) !
