Except it’s Westminster-think to assume we need a referendum. A sufficiently ballsy Govt could lay the groundwork before a GE, or even immediately after one.

Not that we’ll get one of those on our current trajectory.

Isnt this a weird non-story though? They are private renters, not council tenants. They don’t have the rights of council tenants and it’s misleading of the Graun to suggest otherwise even by omission.

Will it result in a large market correction, yes, but that’s different to creating a whole in the economy.

The entire line from Paddington to Swansea has no local stopping.

If you’d bothered researching you’d know there is a massive project to upgrade the relief lines and then add local stations.
