Many sympathies. I can't speak to data science, but getting paid for freelance writing got me through a lot of tough times, even if the money wasn't great. Having people try to rip that option off the table for me is upsetting, and seeing that happen to other people makes me genuinely furious.

sorry guys I'm still desperately and exceedingly angry that my whole career world is getting torn apart at times by some of the very people who built it, just so we can make AI do all the "boring" parts like database searching and completely pollute data science as a whole for decades to come

I might have to grab it... I wasn't *that* enamored by Bubsy 1, was never a fan of that kind of chaotic platforming level design where the entire rectangular map is full of Stuff, but I definitely want to check out the collection.

The playtesting process for big games has always fascinated me... I've heard a lot about it from Valve's in-game commentaries, and a little about how they ironed out the Halo games, but not much from the mouths of any particularly noteworthy horses besides that.
