The first few clues were not very kind to us, for sure.

Tommy Rogers (b.1849) was one of the last Severn watermen. He was a coracle maker, poacher, and larger-than-life Ironbridge character. Known for his expert knowledge of the Severn, he saved 8 lives and recovered more than 80 bodies alongside his son from the river Severn.

42% intending to vote for the racist far right party. I despair. 😔

There are words in both yellow and purple that I don’t recognise as belonging to those groups 🤷🏻‍♂️

I had 3 years to choose from and surprisingly chose the right one!

Look at all that lovely green!
I now have the theme music to “Are You Being Served?” as an ear worm, for some reason 🥴

Exactly right. The only hope is for the broad left to find another focus which, for me at present anyway, appears to be the Green Party.
I’m getting “Stranger Things” vibes from this photo 😬
This amazing Covered Bridge #Photography was taken by Gerry Hudson.
True.
"The beauty of anti-racism is that you don't have to pretend to be free of racism to be an anti-racist. Anti-racism is the commitment to fight racism wherever you find it, including in yourself."

I think my use and understanding of English is fairly good, but I’ve never sat the A level exam in the subject and I honestly don’t know if I could pass it. This is mindless pandering to the Far(age) Right, and it disgusts me.
It's hilarious, most of them can't even string a sentence together, but sadly another example of Starmer's Labour pandering to Farage's base
I will bet my bike that close to zero of the British racists that this law is pandering to could pass A-level English.
An absolutely dreadful attempt, rescued by the last 2 clues 😕

The emphasis was very much on the guessing 😄
I think it’s stumped a lot of us!
Astonishing isn't it? Us oldies used to be able to memorise important numbers, even quite long ones. And that was after a hard day at the Henge construction site!
If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
It's as if two separate Strands got mixed up! I just don't understand the theme 🤨
