The 4K remaster is STUNNING, by the way, and worth seeing if you’ve never actually experienced the 1982 movie (which is also really important for filmmaking history and VFX!)

It was Star Musketeer Bismark in Germany, iirc. It wasn't very popular in the USA, but I was a huge fan. There was a glut of cowboy-style cartoons.

I think Germany was its biggest market.

It’s great how many kind of medium sized horror and sci-fi movies look great today because almost everything was practical or implied. Having the graboids underground saved a lot of money on the FX budget!

Tremors honestly doesn't feel old. The desert island aspect of being trapped in the valley still works, and the gun-nut-preppers certainly still exist.
