Again, what if we just didn't buy or talk about the shiny new game from the dog shit trillion dollar publisher that's trying to drive the industry into the ground while also actively supporting a genocide.
That would be super cool.

Nothing I want to watch this season on Crunchyroll is dubbed. Even the carry forward stuff from the summer season is subtitled now.
Sony... what are we doing here.

I was not a Pokemon fan growing up. I got into the franchise because my son like(d) it. I've enjoyed the recent non-remake games a fair bit. They're not perfect, but they're decent games that I can just turn off my brain and play.

Legends Z-A sounds cool.
Should be able to pick up my copy on Thursday morning when the shop opens (the downside of buying physical is figuring this shit out).
Already have the DLC preloaded lol

Much like Pokemon Legends: Arceus before it, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is a bold and unorthodox take on the series' formula, and yet more proof that Pokemon is better when it pushes the boundaries of what a Pokemon game can be. Our review: https://www.rpgsite.net/review/18695-pokemon-legends-z-a-review

Follow up on the last post;
I think the Game Bakers are an underappreciated studio.
Furi is an all timer, and while not perfect, Haven was an enjoyable experience. Cairn at least in the demo, is intuitive and very enjoyable.
It's an easy day one for me.

Reminder to play the Cairn demo. Blends light survival with a wildly clever, tactile climbing system. A puzzle game in disguise. Lots of different routes up the mountain that you have to gauge yourself, making strategic use of ropes, pitons, natural handholds, etc. Really good shit.

I think it's a lot of repeat demos. There's a couple things worth trying. Most of it is too "fun with friends" for me.

Also tried the new Sponge Bob game demo on PS5. It reminds me a bit of older LEGO games. It's not very intuitive, the combat stinks, and you take a lot of cheap shots from enemies that don't matter because there's health all over the place.
Even my son didn't seem to like it much.

Anyways...
Cairn is still great, and Goodnight Universe (a game I only tried because it popped up on the eShop for Sw2) seemed pretty interesting. Marvel Cosmic Invasion, PowerWash 2, Skate Story and Forestrike are all good demos.

These "events" feel like too much work now.

There is a lot... and I mean... a LOT of MP focused stuff in the Steam NextFest, and 99% of these things are gonna be DOA.
I don't understand what small studios are doing.

Excited to hear Toronto Sports fans takes on the Jays. A team that wasn't even supposed to make the playoffs LOL
shepcommandr.bsky.social
PS6 targeting 2027 feels bold, because it only gives Sony 2yrs to justify their current HW, which they've struggled to do... much less get people excited for another round of iterative hardware with massive diminishing returns on power.

tbf, no matter what happens in the ALCS, the Jays massively overperformed.
I've already made fun of you enough for still being a leafs fan, despite the fact that the team is bad because you'll always be a leafs fan

Excited to announce that I will not be reviewing the latest hot new video game from the publisher actively supporting genocide.

I can now confirm that I have received a new batch of specialty coffee beans. #coffee

And 90% of the time you can get free shipping anyways. Prime is a scam lol

It's always men, too.
The guy that will complain that he didn't get whatever he felt entitled to, is the guy asking AI to handle his human interactions.
shepcommandr.bsky.social
Every day I see some article about how people are using AI, and with each passing day it's more depressing.
We're not even using this tech for things it would be good at... we're using it for human interaction and critical thinking.

Before I stopped buying the MP FPS Slop, I remember the early matches of every year being wildly inconsistent as matchmaking tried to figure out what to do with you. Felt bad as someone that would only play a couple matches at a time.
Having the game be like that all the time sounds awful.
shepcommandr.bsky.social
I wasn't going to buy it, but CoD moving to Open Match Making feels really desperate. More to appeal to jerk off FPS streamers than actual consumers.
Experience for regular folks is gonna be absolute dogshit, but those sweats will get their YT Shorts up faster.

There's more arbitrary progression walls in FF Tactics than there was in Baby Steps.

Jokes aside, it's becoming increasingly difficult to tell if some OpEds are genuinely bad opinions or intentional rage bait
shepcommandr.bsky.social
I'm going to start writing OpEds about OpEds.

I managed to slap some code together where the drone mostly does what I want it to do.
Check Ground > Till if needed > Plant Carrot > Harvest if you can... all while moving around the farm to maximize usage.
It works, but it's kind of drunk robot. Code kicks out to move to the right for some reason.

I am not smart enough for >The Farmer was Replaced()_
Well... less not smart, and more not familiar enough with programming lol
shepcommandr.bsky.social
Holy shit.
I actually beat Baby Steps.
Credits show your path through, and there’s a ton I didn’t even see.
