I'm Bell Adonna, leader of Team Ataxen. Don't ask what we do, it's on the up and up (probably).

My three cents? Xi's anti-corruption guys wanted to prove that there is no actual place of power high enough to escape the reach of their optics.

So from this, I would say less "Xi's purging the military" and more so, Xi's probably actually going around looking for corruption.

Miao's within (or ig was) in the Fujian clique which tells me this has to be less about ideology and more about getting shit done.
