Same kid is in the 1st two. 3rd one the character is recast as an older kid. Then later sequels and tv show, the adult kid is played by the original actor.

I mean, I like Void Rivals well enough, but this feels like a petty fanboy got mad at DWJ doing interesting things with the property, but now that HE'S in charge he's gonna undo everything and hammer it all to fit into his 1984 view of what Transformers was.
