Fundamentally, there is no on-the-page institutional structure that can protect you from an absence of virtue among the citizenry.

That's just where we are - voters have learned a lot of bad habits. A lot of people thought they could vote MAGA again and it wouldn't matter; bad habits.

Yeah I think people here have unrealistic expectations for like jailing all ICE agents and that’s just almost certainly not going to happen even in extremely cool zone scenarios. But they should 100% have to lie for the rest of their lives about their employment history in conversation with everyone

Also: if you work for ICE, even if you’re not one of the ones arresting citizens or tackling 15-year-olds or zip-tying kids together and segregating them by race, you’re part of the mechanism making it happen, and you should suffer long-term social and post-regime-change consequences.

My wife and I (upper Gen-X) saw it Saturday night. Definitely on the upper side of the age range.

And it was impressive how many kids were singing along to all the songs of an album that dropped less than 48 hours before. They were doing their homework!

It was a long time ago but I think it’s highly likely that they just depicted him standing at the foot of *a* cross and drinking some blood that dripped on him and they never say whose cross it is because, hey, you know, lots of people got crucified back then 🤷

Jesus absolutely exists in the DC universe! In the 90s a side character in DR FATE was a vampire who lost his need for human blood when he drank Jesus‘s blood at the foot of the cross, and I am not making that up

I do think that one of the real ways to limit federal action is to keep going on camera and saying (as Pritzker does) “If *you* commit a crime, federal employee, we will try to prosecute *you*, either now or when we get the White House back.”

It doesn’t constrain Trump but it makes the goons think.
