I do think that one of the real ways to limit federal action is to keep going on camera and saying (as Pritzker does) “If *you* commit a crime, federal employee, we will try to prosecute *you*, either now or when we get the White House back.”

It doesn’t constrain Trump but it makes the goons think.

I think these protests are important - authoritarianism thrives on the perception of its inevitability, the perception of consensus and putting lots of angry people in view being angry at the state of our republic is important because it cracks that perception of inevitability.
