I’ve always had issues when logging for a second time to DQ mobile games.

They either forget my user or refuse to load the games where I left them.
I stopped trying them cause of these..

I mean the potential is just oozing.

Have the 80s cast play like the NES beat em up games and the 2003 turtles play like the Advance games.

Mirage turtles could probably be assists or have new gameplay.

Been feeling in the mood for old games, and specifically, old western RPGs.

Couldn’t help bite GOG’s amazing offer. I was surprise to find some more WRPGs on my account which they gave me for free!

Maybe these will refresh my love for videogames which I’ve felt I’ve been running out of.

Happened to me with Dragon Quest 8

Where after so many years of abandoning the game I came back, finished the final boss.

And game was like “oh honey, you’re only halfway there”

That wasn’t the final boss.

I’ve seen it.
And all I can think of that is that it’s what happens after a decade of Pontac and Graff (?) writing, and shorter quills.

Personally the only thing salvageable from 06 is the music.

Personally dislike 6 foot tall Sonic with droopy quills.

So these geniuses at Costco tire center thought it was a brilliant idea to move the 2 tires I was replacing (one of them was damaged) to the front, while getting rid of ones that were still working.. a process that shouldn’t have taken them 3 HOURS.

Today I woke up to a flat tire

But I hope someday I experience again that feeling that I got when I was given Warcraft 2. Didn’t think I was going to like it, but it blew me away.

Me too! I say it all the time!
Coming home with a huge box as if it were a dang present was a far better feeling than any console game to me for some reason (and I always had to pray the game ran)

Never played EverQuest, but a friend of mine gave me a physical worldmap and a strategy guide.

I miss the days of the late 90s/early 2000s going to a Fry’s (or Incredible Universe!) or Electronics Boutique, and browsing those (huge) PC game boxes with box art I thought looked so cool but never got to play. They were like windows into other worlds.

Simpler times. I’m old.

One of my favorite childhood games’ way to break free from the norm had you choose between difficulties:

Way Wicked
And
Mental
(Instant follow to whoever guesses the game)

Also Doom has like 5 difficulty levels and none of them say easy, normal or hard.

renaming 'easy' to 'story' is clearly rooted in some sort of UI research showing players won't willingly change to easy when prompted and will instead hate the game but calling it 'story' alleviates that to some degree, I wonder how long that'll last cause it's clearly a tactic with a shelf life
