I think lightclients and zktls solves the dex problem of solochains.
silicology.bsky.social
Also one can use zkp with large proof length which smart contract don't allow. You will hit gas limitations.
silicology.bsky.social
Solochain gives full control, that parachain can't provide.

For example I can have larger computations with longer blocktime, say 10 mins.

It just removes computation limitations, voting system for millions of people will be possible.

Polkadot is most robust technology yet, but core time thing is just so shit.

Why reverse gas model is bad, though one can charge gas fees with polkadot substrate chains with benchmarking, still participating in auction for core time is just so shit.

We need price discovery through prediction market. This month I am working this AMM (Automated Market Maker). First something simpler than with test we can improve.

Not sure what real world problems quantum computers will solve or how much good they will do, but they’ll definitely be a headache for online security. Everything will break, and we’ll have to rebuild from scratch.

Post-quantum cryptography is still not mature enough.

Quantum computing threat is already here: Naoris Protocol
David Carvalho, Founder and CEO of Naoris Protocol, explains that state actors are already ready to use quantum computing for attacks.

"If you live in the United States, you could be forgiven for thinking that renewable energy is on the outs," writes @zteirstein.bsky.social. But the world is betting on solar and wind, despite Trump's championing of fossil fuels in the US.
Despite what’s happening in the USA, renewables are winning globally
Wind and solar power are meeting and even exceeding a global rise in energy demand.

🤯 Solana just crushed a stress test, hitting a record 100,000 TPS while staying stable! 🚀 Even during heavy network activity (like large liquidations), the network & Agave validator handled massive load – 6x its normal peak. 💪 Proof Solana can scale! #Solana #TPS #blockchain

However, if small delegators lack sufficient voting power because of unfair token distribution, that DAO can choose to switch platforms.
silicology.bsky.social
Wealthy participants cannot easily overturn a DAO hosted on a proof-of-stake network at their whims, due to the supermajority requirement and delegation from small token holders.
silicology.bsky.social
I’ve made up my mind:

Inflation is acceptable, but some redistribution is necessary to prevent wealth from being concentrated among a few validators.

Validators need to be geographically distributed.
silicology.bsky.social
So, if Solana has a 5% inflation rate at the moment, Federa says Solana holders need to generate better yields, whether through staking or DeFi farming, to shield themselves from inflation penalties.

Thats why we need a thought out prediction market for education.

Even if mathematically its a few month work, but changing minds may not be done overnight, its a may take many decades of work.

Imagine a world where search engines, social media, education, politics, and e-commerce all operate on prediction markets.
silicology.bsky.social
Essentially, it highlights a feedback loop: demand shapes supply. If the “demand” is focused only on exam scores rather than conceptual understanding, the market will naturally cater to that.
silicology.bsky.social
The market provides what parents and students demand. If you don't know what to ask from the market, you will not get the right thing.
silicology.bsky.social
The first step is to provide an alternative economic model; the next is to change minds.

It's not just an economic problem, but also a matter of thinking habits or the bandwagon effect—how middle-class families make decisions for their children, and how teenagers make decisions themselves.
How Indian schools’ focus on entrance tests is stunting education
Dummy schools and others that focus on training students for tests leave many ill-equipped to lead full professional and social lives.

“The transformation is astonishing. [Paris] has quietly—& quickly—become one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world. What started as a series of emergency “coronapistes” or pop-up bike lanes, built during the pandemic has evolved into a permanent bike network spanning hundreds of kilometres.”

Cycling through central Paris meant weaving between buses and scooters—a bold choice reserved for the fearless few.

Trump may deny climate change but not prediction market.
silicology.bsky.social
That prediction markets for climate-related predictands can produce probability forecasts that are consistent with being reliable (probabilistically calibrated).
