Me! Any time is a good time to root against the Dodgers but there are lots of reasons to root for the Blue Jays this year. Political reasons yes, but also they're a very likable, never say die team.

I'll go there. I'm sure it feels like having been in the World Trade Center. Actually no, ICE's quota is a 9/11 a day, so you know what? It's worse. (I've never been in the White House. I was up in the World Trade Center in 1983.)

It's also very dangerous, because when an Evangelical gets depressed (it happens at the same rate as the rest of the population), they're told it's because they don't have enough faith. And that, sadly, can lead to them attempting to take their own life.

He's been saying for 9 years he intends to be president for life. So he's not thinking of future administrations. We have to make sure he leaves office at the end of this term (or sooner, ideally) and then we can figure out how we recover from his destruction.

It really is, and dividing the churches is another part of how you defeat it. They'll turn on each other once the genocide is done. Getting them to turn on each other before it's done (difficult, but theoretically possible) is how you take their minds off the genocide.

The only difference is a handful of conservatives will be affected by this and notice it. The promise of conservatism is always that you won't notice the things they cut. Now they've cut something conservatives will notice, and eventually they may figure out racism doesn't pay the bills.

I doubt I buy anything on either of those days this year. I buy as little as possible every day, not wanting to feed the machine that got us into this mess. And I definitely buy a lot more secondhand stuff than I used to.

I think there's something to this. My dad and I took different routes politically. He was never told no as a kid. But when I was a kid, sometimes he had to say no to me. And there were some things I knew better than to ask for. I think that explains the differences between he and I as adults.

I don't use Tiktok, but my son said on Tiktok, the phrase No Kings was shadowbanned, so anyone who wanted to talk about it had to use coded language. Imagine how much bigger it could have been if we had something resembling free speech across all social media!
