Panel 1: Ari is slammed down from the force of the creature. Panel 2: With a loud crunch, the creature bites down on her arm. Panel 3: Ari cries out in pain.

Panel 1: Alex suddenly looks up, one hand now clutching his head. The voice yells “WATCH OUT!”
Panel 2: Another creature lunges at him. The bulbous form can be seen glowing from the skull’s open jaws.
Panel 3: Ari quickly transforms to her beastial form and clamps her jaws around the creature’s neck.

Panel 1: Ari stands her ground in the foreground. One of the skeletal creature struggles to stand and another one comes into the frame from the right.
Panels 2-3: The creatures hiss and Ari snarls back.
Panels 4: Alex struggles to focus as the disembodied voice talks to him. "This should be reflex and instinct for you. Their necks are exposed."
Panel 5: The voice continues: "What are you doing?! You are both going to die here. You don't even know you've done this before. You're letting the beast fight the beast hunter's fight." The text nearly overlays with Alex's speech bubble where he mutters Ari's name. Ari is also about to fight the creatures.

Panels 5-7: Alex now has his karambit in hand, now trembling from adrenaline. One of the creatures lunges. The final Panel is a closeup of Alex, eyes focused and now a glowing purple instead of blue. "BECOME A MECHANISM OF SLAUGHTER."

Panel 1: Alex: What…What is all this? He asks Ari, who is bristling defensively.
Panel 2: Ari: My people call it the Blight…when death is not blessed with natural ritual. This is not normal on Earth, right?
Panel 3: Alex: No it isn’t, and I don’t see another way around. Ari: I don’t even want to know what happened here.

Panels 1-3: Alex hears a disembodied voice. At first it says “Not alone.” and “Turn around.” It suddenly shouts at him “BEHIND YOU!” And he suddenly gets a painful migraine.
Panel 2: Ari: Alex? What’s wrong? She is suddenly startled too by his sudden reaction.
Panel 3: Ari: Alex! Talk to me! Ari crouches down next to Alex who collapses on his knees. He’s still clutching his head.

Panel 1: Ari’s ears and tail suddenly flick up when she hears creatures crying out “crrrrk-crrrroouuh-crrrk-crrrrk.”
Panel 2: Ari: Alex, we have to go. Now! Behind Ari and is a skeletal creature covered in moss, stalking her on top of a broken tree trunk.
