Friends, if you must assign a diagnosis to Trump and Musk (I don't recommend it), may I suggest calling them megalomaniacs? It's an outdated term in psychology, so you won't be stigmatizing entire groups of people at least. It's also probably closer to accurate than the armchair diagnoses I see.

It's not lost on me that this MOU signing was exactly 10 years + 5 days following the signing of the Alberta Climate Leadership Plan by then Premier @rachelnotley.bsky.social & then Environment Minister @sphillipsab.bsky.social. CNRL, Suncor & Indigenous leaders were on the stage. Sigh, 10 years.

Hoar frost for everyone!

We had ice fog last night. It was so sparkly to walk through.
And today had that pale grey glow of hoar frost.

Giving Alberta an exemption to the Clean Electricity Standard means the policy is DOA.

There’s no way SK isn’t asking for the same thing, as they restart coal plants.

One Canadian economy? Nope. Likely scenario is no electricity regs at all, meaning we’re back to Harper-era policy.

If you're not, listen to this.

Get a guitar or some drums, or a trumpet. Pick up a brush, a pencil, some clay or a welder.

Just make shit. It doesn't have to be good (eventually it will be) just make music, art or write or whatever.

It's literally never been more important.

We caught the UCP red-handed.

We asked Public Safety & Emergency Services for any correspondence between Min. Ellis & the Edmonton Police Commission.

They told us - twice - there was none.

We asked the Commission & got 130 pages including 5 letters signed by Ellis. #abpoli

But we know the rot goes to the roots.

An investigation by the Info & Privacy Commissioner found the UCP had created system-wide policies designed to deny public record requests.

And it seems they’re still at it.

A gov’t so drunk on power they don’t think they have to answer to anyone. #abpoli

This is a pattern with the UCP.

Albertans request records, the UCP denies they exist & drags their feet on releasing anything.

That’s against access to info laws.

And since Minister Ellis oversees enforcement of the law in Alberta, I asked how he’d investigate & ensure accountability. #abpoli
