"Bill 5 decimates environmental safeguards for land, water and air and grants cabinet unchecked power in “special economic zones.” This is deeply undemocratic and the opposite of protecting Ontarians, especially in the midst of twin crises of climate change and biodiversity loss."

The Ford gov’t is privatizing our public hospitals in a move that’s costing patients thousands of dollars & taking away from our local public hospital services. Everyone’s help is needed to pressure them to stop it.

Send George Darouze back to Queen’s Park with a message for Doug Ford: keep your hands off our schools!

Our public education system has been shortchanged by $6 billion since 2018. It’s time to invest in our kids.

Focusing on political corruption in school governance misses the point. The issue isn't who controls state schools, but that the state controls them at all. Education belongs with parents, not politicians or political appointees. Full school choice now! #onted #onpoli

Doug Ford gave handouts to guests who attended his daughter's wedding. Why should we expect that he won't do the same when appointing people to oversee our schools?

RFK fired the CDC official (w/decades of experience) leading the measles outbreak response. It's been decades since we've had such a large outbreak. And just to ensure they they can spread the measles outbreak even farther, they also fired the leadership for the center focused on immunization.

In Canada, top 1% of wealth holders hold 24% of total wealth.
Meanwhile, PM Carney has an ‘austerity budget’, which will impact the disadvantaged.
Patriotic Millionaires Canada, which I am a board member of, estimated that a 3% tax on wealth over $100-million could raise $25-billion annually.

I also note that the Canada Disability Benefit is listed as one of the benefits for automation. As @lindsaytedds.bsky.social and I have pointed out, with NGOs like Disability Without Poverty, the disability tax credit is a major obstacle to access to this (still too small) benefit. Progress!!!!

A lot of mobility innovation focuses on making existing options even more comfortable for the most privileged, at the expense of children, the elderly, people with low incomes or disabilities.
