Let's reduce economic inequality & build a just, environmentally sustainable society.
Joys include ale, good conversation, travel, literature & theatre.
Interests include design, green engineering & international development.
So we have a provincial govt that has abandoned people who walk & cycle.

And we have a city government that spends tens of millions clearing snow for cars, but doesn't much care for active transportation -- or for equity & the environment.

NDP leadership race: dismal.

The party needs the skillset of a Mulcair/Layton. What's on offer:

- a narrow focus on "union halls" & "shop floors"
- govt price controls
- antipathy to business
- l'incapacité de parler français
- a lack of interest in productivity & research
