Same here on both the still waiting for Calcitron (that pack stubbornly refuses to be reduced anywhere & I’m not paying full price for it) and wanting a Shard recolour. I’d take her in a dozen colours but would really like her in a Rock Lords Solitaire deco since that was apparently her inspiration

I think it's funnier that someone got this signed by the original Turtles.
the ad from above, but signed by Renee Jacobs (April O'Neil, with a "guess not...", Barry Gordon (Donatello, with a "YEAH RIGHT!"), Townsend Coleman (Michelangelo, with a "Still here!"), Rob Paulsen (Raphael) and Cam Clarke (Leonardo, with a "Crystal Ball, anyone?")

She’s great, well worth tracking down

Kup overcomes his fear of death crystals to team up with the Lady of Chaos herself - Shard! It’s an uneasy alliance at first but the universal greeting combined with an offering of energon goodies soon smooths things over & allows the old timer and geo girl to unite in Armorizer form to fight evil!
“Bah-weep-Graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong”

Transformers Studio Series Kup seeks the aid of the rocky Armorizer Shard. She doesn’t trust Autobots and he’s shit-scared of death crystals (which she’s composed of) so it is a bit of a… rocky start (woooo!) Alliance established, the pair charge into battle Kup fires his musket laser whilst shard spews forth showers of indestructible death crystals United to kick aft!

Sometimes it got cold and lonely on Mt. St Hilary…

Transformers Micromaster Off-Road Patrol! A nice varied team I often employed as rough & tumble explorers & delivery boys (Tote carried a lot of shit for a Micromaster!). Tote & Highjump were by far my favourites & as such are noticeably looser than the others. Powertrain made a good Skateboard
Transformers Micromaster Off-Road Patrol - Highjump, Mudslinger, Powertrain and Tote! Off to explore the wilderness! Quaking Quake, Tiptop and Heater Totally radical Powertrained Highjump!

That reminds me, still need to pick one of those up (don’t think they came out in the UK)

Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Captain Scarlet Spectrum Fuel Bay! Not quite as cool as the bunker but some interesting shapes make up for the lack of play features. Back in the day I sent for an Angel Interceptor from the free model offer (had the others already) but my scumbag postman stole it, boo!
Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Captain Scarlet Spectrum Fuel Bay unassembled with instructions The Fuel Bay fuels up a Spectrum Helicopter as an SPC drives towards the ramp. An SPV stands guard in case of Mysteron shenanigans The helicopter departs as the SPC gets ready to go up the ramp The SPC gets fuelled up ready for the next adventure!

Quintus Prime NEEDS to be be retooled into Botanica. It is so close! It’s been a quarter of century (geez, where’d that go?) give her a toy At long last Hasbro!
Beast Machines Botanica in plant mode. Whilst it’s not surprising that she’s never had a toy given her weirdness and BM’s unpopularity I still want one

I medically need Quintus to be retooled into Botanica. It would work!

Love this 😍

(Only way to make it better is if it disappeared and reappeared at random like in the episode)

Blackstar Palace Guard! These Flash Gordon-ish dudes only briefly appear in 1 ep but still managed a toy (albeit in completely different colours from the show). Weirdly they are armed with the ice gun packs from the more commonly seen Ice Troopers (who didn’t get toys). They have an oddly peachy ass
Blackstar Palace Guard - a bird-headed man in a spiked blue helmet, should pads and underpants. This is the Laser Light release with light-up blue medallion imbedded in the chest Ready to guard the Ice Castle! Holding up the ice gun with helmet removed. The head sculpt is really nice and whoever did it thoughtfully added ears to the design Butt shelf

On the the way to the Transformers The Movie premiere!
Hot Rod leads of convoy made up of Arcee, Kup, Wheelie, Rodimus Prime (somehow), Springer, Blurr and Wreck-Gar

Transformers Power Run & Strikedown! Their hovercraft mode is particularly nice. Check out Power Run’s epic fivehead! Strikedown’s back-mounted fan seemed self-evidently made for creating water spouts which combined with the lightning powers I gave to Strikedown would sink many a Seacon
Transformers Micromaster Combiner Metro Swuad Power Run & Strikedown - a very nice white hovercraft with a bin blue fan Whipping up water spouts! Here’s Power Run with his McPartlin-esque Franken-forehead (tempting to cast Strikedown as his Dec). I like his muscly normal arms hiding under the hovercraft skirt kibble Strikedown. I like that his fan is poking up and useable in robot mode

Speaking of Captain Scarlet, I’ve been engaged in a bit of retro Spectrum arts & crafts:

Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Captain Scarlett Spectrum Bunker! In 1993 you could collect tokens to send in for Vivid Imaginations Captain Scarlett vehicles. To compliment them they printed cardboard Spectrum facilities to make on the boxes. The bunker was super cool with opening doors & working runway!
Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Captain Scarlett Spectrum Bunker - a flatpack Spectrum bunker with instructions The bunker assembled! A Spectrum Helicopter sits on the helipad as an SPC approaches the bunker The SPC enters the bunker, safe from Mysteron attack (… or is it?) A Spectrum jet makes use of the working retractable runway

Due to my recent health problems I’ve not been able to go on any charity show trawls for aaaages but I suddenly remembered this beauty I found just as I was getting bad that I forgot to post - LEGO 2585 Track Buggy with Station Master & Cool Kid! A sealed on the inside LEGO set from 1998 for £2.99!
LEGO 2585 Track Buggy with Station Master and Cool Kid - a promo set that came with a CD ROM in a cute lil box The Cool kid & Station Master on their hand cart The Station Master is a nude super hero for some reason Station Master also has a normal head for hanging around a young boy with no clothes on in an identifiable fashion

Unfortunately Hasbro don’t seem to actually own Inhumanoids (they tried to bring them back during the IDW crossover event and had to scrap it) - or at least they think they don’t - as the initial concept was developed by an outside agency. So they remaining trapped at the centre of the Earth 😔

He also got all messed up and irremovably mangled into the remains of his jet before it was adapted into his environmental suit. Hey kids, remember Ace? He’s back - in unspeakable body horror form!

More Sky Lynx! Because when you’re as stupendously perfect as Sky Lynx 4 pictures just isn’t enough. Sky Lynx featured very heavily in the season 3 episodes I had on VHS as a kid & as such always held a special mystique. I wasn’t disappointed when I eventually got his toy. Magnificent, but of course
Transformers G1 Sky Lynx box - HUGE character artwork and cool pics of the toy. Originally 39.99 from Fred Meyer! Sky Lynx cruises along in shuttle mode looking for a place to land Soaring in shuttle mode once separated from the crawler Opening fire! His acetylene blaster in blast effect compatible which is nice

There is a vague hint of some humanity left in Black in “Manhunt”when he spares Symphony. It’s open to interpretation whether or not he spared her a lethal dose of radiation simply to use her as a diversion but a lethal dose would have achieved the same thing so maybe Conrad is still in there.

The transformation on the Missing Link really does put all the CHUG Arcees (and even the Masterpiece) to shame. Minimal flat backpack and no cheating. Very impressive.

Transformers Wheel Blaze & Roadburner! Their cherry picker & lurid neon yellow deco make them stand out amongst the crowd of laddery red TF fire trucks. Not sure how much rescuing they’ll be doing as tiny Micromasters, mind. They have really nice sculpted details, sirens & hoses aplenty
Transformers Micromaster Combiner Metro Squad Wheel Blaze & Roadburner - a neon yellow fire engine with a red cherrypicker arm The pair rescue Kup & Ultra Magnus from the burning Greasepit. They’ll be having words with Oiler & Slide later… 🔥 Wheel Blaze! Slightly doofy head but awesome name Roadburner! Possibly shouldn’t be burning roads but what can you do?
