The atheism isn’t the issue, just as Christianity isn’t the issue. The original comment was saying we should not blame atheists for Trump’s election and we should instead blame evangelical Christians. In fact, both are to blame.

They use a lack of god as their justification for why their extremist pseudoscientific beliefs are true, just as religious extremists use god’s existence to defend theirs.

You can’t detach their atheism from their ideologies. Just as you can’t detach Christianity from those of far right Christians

Harris and Dawkins in particular use their atheism as the central pillar of their pseudoscientific beliefs about race and gender. They believe that race and sex are strict, immutable biological categories from which human identity is formed, not from intelligent design, but from nature itself.

Fascists target people based on identity. If defending the human rights of the most marginalized is “divisive and alienating”, then your ideology is evil. There will be no compromise with fascism, and we will not unite with Nazis. If you want to do that, you can, but the rest of us say no

Richard Dawkins is a far right extremist. It’s not “extraordinarily inaccurate” to accurately label him as subscribing to Nazi pseudoscience. That last 2 years at minimum, his most vocal activism as been gender critical activism, a far right, pseudoscientific anti-trans movement literally 1/2

It’s astonishing how effortlessly the mask of New Atheists(TM) is shed as soon as you bring up that their most prominent spokespeople are far right extremists.

They want to blame evangelicals for Trump, but quickly run to defend Neo-Nazi pseudoscience if it’s peddled by Harris or Dawkins.

I've read some of Sam Harris but not a lot. I've seen Richard Dawkins and he's a fully trained and fully educated scientist. Who happens to be an atheist. I don't think anything that he says is pseudo

For the last few years his MAIN rhetoric has been virulent anti-trans extremism, which is entirely buttressed in his pseudoscientific beliefs.

So if you think “nothing he says is pseudo” is straight up just means you are a Nazis, since his pseudoscientific ideology was literally invented by Nazis.

I don’t know that, and neither do you. Presumably he is ethnically Jewish, which means that at least a plurality of his ancestry is of middle eastern origin. But again, that’s an educated guess, I don’t know that, and you don’t either.

You are aware that middle eastern people can have red hair right? In fact, North Africa has the second highest rate of ginger haired people after Northern Europe. The Egyptian Pharaohs Ramesses II and Seti I both had ginger hair.
