It was a gender critical conference. The gender critical movement is 90% male. Most far right movements are overwhelmingly male majority, especially ones that centre on stripping rights away from women and LGBTI people.

New Zealand doesn’t have a First Amendment — we have Parliamentary sovereignty and NZBORA. Our Parliament banned conversion therapy because it harms people. If Stephen Franks wants US-style “freedom” to abuse LGBTQIA+ kids, he can move there.

Absolutely, this dude utterly sucks!

Many will know a parent who may be doomed to this desperate state - with no way out. Even if they’ve only permitted or aided their innocent child’s groomers without authorising surgery or drugs, some will be haunted. Can they undo the harm? Could they have prevented it?

My firm is trying to help a number of parents who are doing all they can while they can to protect their deluded children.
It is an outrage that the Parliamentarians who passed the conversion therapy ban, despite its direct conflict with freedom of speech, are tolerating the prevarication of Minister Doocey over dangerous ‘gender-affirming’ hormone ‘therapy’ for children

The US Supreme Court is likely to invalidate conversion therapy bans shortly, as contrary to the First Amendment (freedom of speech).

How so? Explain how protecting the rights of all women means that women shouldn’t have rights!

Any woman who “asserts her boundaries” by stripping rights away from trans women, or Black women, or Jewish women, or any other demographic of women your religion deems “not women” is a bigot.

Therefore you admit that you do NOT believe trans people are human, as you believe they are not entitled to the same rights and protections as other people.

Segregation doesn’t ensure anyone’s rights.

Trans women are women. They deserve the same rights as other women.

Gender critical misogynists are absolutely stealing women’s rights away. Th SC ruling didn’t clarify anything.

Why would trans activists need to campaign for their own spaces? The vast majority of trans people are not a third gender/sex. It is a violation of human rights to deny women their rights

That’s exactly what gender criticals do. They refer to women fighting for their rights as “men harassing women”.

There was no harassment of women. There was a neo-Nazi rally being held defending male violence and legally stripping rights away from women.
