It's not "an opinion."
It's not "free speech."
It's not "debate."

It's hatemongering, with the clear and obvious intent to mark a minority out for subjugation, torture and violence.

...or that people are entitled to privacy and dignity. And if you break open the Pandora's Box that some people aren't deserving of certain rights and freedoms, aren't entitled to privacy, because you find them icky and don't like what they do with their freedoms, you've just let fascism in.

You don't get to erode trust in science and medicine, refuse to listen to experts in the field and trans people ourselves (which as the sole stakeholders in our own healthcare, you should), and not expect that you've opened the door to the likes of RFK Jr and other cranks and crackpots.

This is entirely true on so many levels I don't think I could possibly detail it exhaustively, but you really can't oppose trans people's human rights and still have freedom of expression and bodily autonomy, the idea that people are entitled to self determination goes right out the window....

In other realms, for example, trans rights, he has promoted people who say that rich Jews as behind "the EU trans lobby" and all that sort of stuff. See Jennifer Bilek as an example.

I noticed this shift a couple of years ago, when he was on a podcast and was asked about immigration, and as part his answer her talked about how our morals are founded in a "Christian culture."

He's so easily led by the voices around him, and a lot of those voices right now are Religious Right.

He's going on the stand referring to the police as "errand boys for trans activists" (in fact, trans people and advocates have struggled to get the police to take transphobic hate crimes seriously) and talking absolutely bollocks about sissy porn and the like.

I am also concerned that no-one in the "gender critical" movement seems to grasp that it's a terrible idea to keep egging this man on, that some adult in the room must understand at this point that they should convince him to do something else for a while.

I am concerned that a middle-aged man is harassing a 17 year old, damaging her property, and is so far gone he goes to court and claims she is lying about her age, even though she literally has official documents with her age on them.

The hypocrisy of arresting people for wearing t shirts supporting Palestine Action, and then saying that threatening the trans community with violence is not a serious offence is hard to take.

I'm not an expert on policing, but I'm sure there's a good reason why the thing to do in that situation is to meet the person off the plane, and not try to locate them wherever they are in the UK afterwards.

Because he doesn't have an address in the UK anymore, most likely. He was renting a flat previously, and now he is living in the US. He was returning for a court case that is happening tomorrow and Friday.
