It's also just not evident based. For all the evidence Cass had tried to amass, this speculation that kids who might have ceased being trans are being frozen in time rather than helped to develop their growing minds, identity and agency by exploring and expressing it actively has zero evidence.
Pure moral panic. How, precisely, would a child who experiments with a different haircut or pronouns get “locked in” to a trans identity?

The parents who had no problem letting her identify as trans suddenly restrict her from identifying as cis? It makes no sense.
"if they socially transition too early we think they can get locked onto a trajectory that may not have been the correct natural trajectory for them"

There are three issues in @zackpolanski.bsky.social’s piece

1. Exposing how transphobic this Labour “government” is.

2. Showing his support for trans people when we need it.

3. Exposing the Starmer regime’s dishonesty; how they pretend to be constrained by the Supreme Court when they are not.

Given some of the stuff in the Epstein files, the bonus for the Predator Elite of making trans lives really difficult is that, while some trans kids will kill themselves, others will just accept sexual availability/ servitude as the price paid for being able to transition at all.
Cass acknowledges "There are a tiny number of people who will never be comfortable with their biological sex, with the gender associated with their biological sex.

"And for them, a medical pathway is the only way they're going to live their life comfortably. And we don't understand why that is"

Omfg absolute power move there.
The GMC suspended her for years on the spurious basis she wasn't qualified.
So she's going after Cass on the same basis seeing as she actually understands every nuance of those rules inside out 😈

@aoc.bsky.social in the Whitehouse would be a the greatest gift for the world and for every American.
from the perspective of someone who might want to be president, the best time to run for the white house is now, not later. so if AOC is thinking about it — if the white house is her ambition — then her best bet is to throw her hat in the ring
You Know What? Maybe the Time Is Right for an AOC Presidential Bid
She’s only 36, and there’s a good argument that she should run for Senate and bide her time. But she also could be a formidable White House candidate.

I don't think these are unreasonable asks
Again, all I'm asking is that any Democrat who wants my vote support 1. Reverting Trump's anti-trans policies, 2. Commit to fighting against the future erosion of trans rights, and 3. Support legislation codifying trans rights into law.

Very weird how many of you centrists think that's unreasonable

This is very much that "containment" thing I was talking about recently. Much of the UK medical establishment, has accepted that they can't completely eliminate transness (not for lack of trying), so they will settle for making our lives hell so as few of us come out as possible.

In the uk giving your child a haircut they want not approved by the government is considered child abuse. Also calling them what they want to be called, you need a license for that
in the uk you need government permission to get a haircut

I’m hearing that Hilary Cass has been referred to the GMC about this. She should, IMO, be struck off.

Awesome to see @zackpolanski.bsky.social making this clear and calling out Labour’s/Starmer’s dishonesty over the Supreme Court misjudgement.

The contrast between Zack Polanski’s honesty and Starmer’s creepy deceitfulness couldn’t be clearer.

It’s the Government’s duty to protect all communities - including trans people.

They’re failing to do that.

Trans people deserve safety and dignity.

I do think there’s a certain type of Democrat that realizes it’s possible we are dealing with a perfect storm where almost any Democrat will win, and are terrified we might nominate radical candidates who will actually engage in needed change instead of status quo corporate centrist bullshit.
One of the interesting things this time around is just how hollow the whole thing sounds. In the past, people have been able to use the empty concept of electability to anoint and position the person they demanded, but now that Republicans are getting obliterated everywhere, that doesn't work.
If I were a Democrat concerned about winning elections and was hearing that a significant number of voters wouldn’t support Gavin Newsom in 2028, I would simply stop pushing Gavin Newsom in 2026.

I'm not a third sex so I'm not going to use third sex spaces.
‘Third Spaces’ are not a neutral suggestion.

It’s forced ‘outing’ - stigmatising, humiliating, and puts a target on our backs for harassment and violence.

It’s agreeing with a lie. There is no data that backs the idea of trans people being dangerous or violent. 1/3

A reminder - When we say trans is intentionally used by the extreme right as a “wedge issue” to achieve their desired ‘Handmaids Tale’ like existence , placing white cishet Christian males in control of everyone else - it wasn’t just about separating the T from the LGB, they’re also dividing women!
At least 12 WI groups are closing or considering closure after the organisation barred transgender women from membership.

Members say more groups are likely to close, and that the federation’s decision has opened up a toxic, traditionalist culture that will deter younger women from joining.

Maybe it is time he also admits he doesn't know anything about trans kids and listens to trans people about his puberty-blocker ban, social transition ban and other transphobic measures.
