Financial markets have little to no utility, close them, this is nonsense:

The yield on 10-year UK government bonds initially dropped by four basis points, while the pound jumped by 0.3% on the news
How Rachel Reeves’s budget was leaked 40 minutes early

Ending the two-child benefit cap in today's budget is huge, wonderful news for the 500,000 children lifted out of poverty and the 1 million who will face less deep poverty. But the other 4.1m children in poverty deserve the same. This was the right start: now do the rest.

Budget 2025.

The wealthy hardly hit.

Minor tweaks on dividend and mansion tax.
No wealth tax.
No alignment of taxes on dividends & capital gains tax with taxation of wages.
Partnerships won't pay NIC on partners' share of profits
No financial transactions tax.

Lobbying and political donations pay

Pretty ballsy to continue the nuclear power modular bullshit, freeze fossil fuel duty, and increase tax on EV's. That fossil fuel bribe the cabinet got must have been really good.

The government’s decision to halve the time limit for refugees to leave Home Office accommodation is driving people into homelessness and exploitation, according to migrant rights campaigners and homelessness charities

New asylum policies making homeless refugees “targets for the far right”
Labour’s abrupt return to the 28-day move-on period is pushing vulnerable people into rough sleeping and exposing them to fraud and abuse.

Britain, this could be your next prime minister, largely because your political and media elite reject anyone who thinks Palestinians and people in poverty have human rights.
Asked again and again whether he ever racially abused his fellow pupils, as 20 people at his old school have now said he did, Nigel Farage will only say that he never did so in a "hurtful way" or "with intent"
