Sad beige millenial. I swear I draw sometimes too. Includes nature photos.
Closer proximity = higher chance of bad puns. ♠️

I hate writing in the sense that writing is agonizing, but it's agonizing the way getting a really good massage is. It hurts but it's unclenching some shit that's been tensed up. If it doesn't get done I am going to explode, and trying to make a robot get the massage for me would be fucking stupid.
I feel bad when I read people who say they hate writing, especially to the extent they’d let an LLM do it. Writing was the path to making me feel human and the emotional journey of doing it all the time fills me full of purpose. I refuse to believe I’m the only person who feels like this!

One of my fave short stories I've ever created, this one in tandem with the illustrious and masterful @dustinweaver.bsky.social. It's... The Adventures of Thing Thing: The Blue Cheese Affair.

One of the under-stated signs that this is all a bubble and even the players know it is that they’re rushing to build data centres in places that make zero sense if you actually plan on operating a data centre. The Paluxy watershed just does not have the water supply, this is all smash-and-grab.

My piece for the #turbophone2026. We each had just 24 hours to make our piece before sending it on to the next in line.

I was team Red.

A nice romantic scene, just in time for valentines day.

My Kalma has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The good news is she is in good health it may be low grade, meaning surgery will drastically improve life expectancy. The bad is it normally costs around $6000 and is time sensitive- things I just do not have.

There's a story popularized by Grace Hopper, computer pioneer, about a 1947 failure in the Harvard Mark II computer that was traced to a moth trapped in an electrical relay.

Here's a photo of the operator log, with the attached bug.

Text under it reads:
"First actual case of bug being found"

"If you look at the color chart you’ll see the tremendous variety of dark tones. Many colors you wouldn’t see in other animation. There’s such subtlety in the various tones, you wouldn’t notice them on a television screen. But in the theater the large variety of colors really makes a difference." ❤️

Carved in Stone is a comprehensive setting guide for early medieval Pictish society, and as such my work on it was wide and varied and included illustrating real artifacts, speculative penannular brooch designs, and even the animals that would have inhabited their world.

Good on them! Solidarity with the workers. Also would be a good idea to not buy or play any Ubisoft games for the duration of the strike, just to put some extra pressure on the numbers.
🇬🇧✊🌀 Ubisoft : enough is enough! Faced with the arbitrary decision of the CEO who doesn’t even dare talking to employees anymore, unions are calling for a strike on February 10th, 11th and 12th.
