And what was the lesson here? Because it’s quite evident that even with third party support, Kamala wouldn’t have flipped a single state.

Like we said, the main takeaway is to demand more from your candidates so people actually feel compelled to vote for them. This isn’t a difficult concept.

As stated in our mission goals, Pride Was A Riot - Sac is a Queer-identity, antifascist affinity group focused on art, outreach and education. Our Lavender Angels community defense formation operates according to the principles of militant community antifascist defense Our team investigates claims of harm against community members with a principle of due diligence. In this work, we take our responsibilities with respect to the preservation of human life and the prevention of suffering with the utmost seriousness

The Queer community is no stranger to being targeted by easy-to-carry Transphobic and

Queerphobic tropes, and sadly Sacramento is no exception to this

On multiple occasions we have observed the spread of misinformation by well-meaning

activists and socialites inside of the Sacramento activist community...

which has played into

Transphobic and Queerphobic tropes. We find this trend alarming

As per our info literacy zine, "Stop Disinfo In Its Tracks", we share this important passage:

"Often, bad information will initially gain momentum because of deference to trusted figures

or social influencers who lend it unwarranted legitimacy. Moreover, when disinfo reflects pre-existing fears, biases, or even important shared concerns, it can quickly go viral, achieving the status of a general truth before it can be properly challenged or contextualized. When bad information travels into larger, more credible bodies, or becomes widely known, it

is often legitimized by the very nature of its spread. The totality of the damage that bad info

provides proves impossible to measure or fully undo once it reaches this degree of exposure,

and will even serve to eclipse the source point of the info entirely."

Clearly it is all too easy to spread dangerous misinformation, with even the best of intentions, that ends up increasing the threats faced by our community's most marginalized members.

Given our awareness of problematic participation in the spread of dangerous misinformation in the community, we will soon issue public statements highlighting specific problematic behaviors on the part of the Sacramento Punks with Lunch ISPWLI. These statements will be in solidarity with Sacramento Radical Education (Sac Rad Edu) which recently issued its own

notice of disaffiliation with the Sacramento PWL

In our related investigation of outstanding allegations of harm, we intend to get to the bottom of the matter and convey our reasoning and conclusions to the local community in a timely and accurate manner We will also provide further reading material about the broader context to help others prepare for situations they may encounter in the times ahead.

Due to the extreme sensitivity of our work with the marginalized, we cannot always be public in our activity. Sometimes sharing details about what did or did not happen can create new risks, so we make those decisions very carefully. For those who have placed trust in our work, we hope to continue to live up the principles you have come to know us for
