This is my #100HorrorMoviesin92Days 🧵

I’ve never attempted a movie watching challenge before, simply because I am bad at challenges, but I’m kind of determined to finish this one.
Graphic with a black background that says 100 Horror Movies in white font and in 92 days in a light red font. There’s on ombré shadow of a forearm that goes from purple to orange coming out of the second o in horror

“Introduce yourself using only one food you refuse to eat, one movie you’ll never watch again, and one song you can’t stand”

Food: Ranch dressing, I had an unfortunate playground incident.

Film: Hereditary, well made but miserable.

Song: Bad Day thanks to that one season of American Idol iykyk

“Introduce yourself using only one food you refuse to eat, one movie you’ll never watch again, and one song you can’t stand”

Food: canned tuna fish

Film: Grease. I was horrified by its sexism from my first viewing at a sleepover and I remain correct

Song: Brown Eyed Girl. The worst

Did I wake up and decide to make caramel pumpkin sauce for my coffee at 7am when I should be getting ready for work? For some reason, yeah, I did. Also I’ve never made caramel before and was not prepared for what that would be like but I was mostly successful! I had to strain a few clumps out but🤷🏻‍♀️

There are so many bad horror movies I’ve enjoyed watching just because you can tell everyone involved is doing it for the love of the art, AI is not capable of that
bwdr.bsky.social
One thing AI is good for is reminding people how even the very worst movie they’ve ever seen is better than AI “movies”

There are like a million more important things to worry about at the moment, but I’m so tired of celebrities randomly showing up with different faces. It’s really starting to weird me out.

He and I went to the same high school, he was a senior and I was a freshman and we were both in choir so it’s always weird to see him pop up but this is like… especially weird 😅

The merging of the two is responsible for why people are mad at the show like 60% of the time.

This is a great resource! I just got my local ballot and like always, I’ll research candidates for library board by checking out their social media. This article has info on right-wing buzzwords and dog whistles, plus a link to a site where we can see the candidates past political donations. 📌👇🏼

How to be an informed, pro-library, anti-book ban voter in upcoming fall elections (if you have them) and well into the future.

Don't just celebrate banned books. Don't just read banned books. VOTE to support the democratic institutions creating access to them.

57/100 Creeping Death (2023)

The Halloween vibes were there, and I appreciate that.

#100HorrorMoviesin92Days
Movie poster for Creeping Death, illustrated hand holding a melting jack-o-lantern trick-or-treat bucket with the underlined title underneath in light orange font that resembles twigs

Just saw a tiktok about how people are accusing other people of wearing “performative outfits” ummm yeah? Fashion is a performance?

56/100 Cheater Cheater (2024)

This is one of those movies that’s really bad, but feels so earnest that you can’t help but like it a little bit.

#100HorrorMoviesin92Days
Movie poster for Chester Chester, at the bottom is a haunted house with a giant moon behind it and bats flying around it, on the left side is the Dave of a person wearing a creepy pumpkin mask holding a bloody knife and the title is in white font outlined in red in the middle

55/100 Takeout (2025)

This was my first Tubi original, and I enjoyed it! The characters were frustrating at times, but overall not too bad.

#100HorrorMoviesin92Days
Movie poster for Takeout, the background is a cloudy night sky behind an out of time takeout burger place with a cop car and an SUV in the parking lot, above the takeout place is the floating profile of a black teenage girl wearing a fast food uniform, looking sidelong into the camera there’s a neon purple glow near the middle of of the poster and below it is the movie title in neon purple font

Idk who needs to hear this, but Cast a Deadly Spell is currently streaming on HBOmax, and it’s actually a perfect movie to watch during fall.

I disagree with other leftists regularly, and at no point have I thought wow what a bad take, I think I’ll stop caring about marginalized people and start voting MAGA now. Like????

If your response to people saying they think some of Taylor Swift’s new song lyrics are conservative dog whistles is to say the criticism is going to push you to the right, I fear you were just looking for an excuse.

Can’t get over Tyra Banks “inventing” hot ice cream which from what I can gather is just room temperature crème anglaise with toppings.

54/100 Hallow Gate (1988)

The beginning of this movie has an excellent 80s Halloween ambiance. Overall a bit cheesy, but the characters delivered an enjoyable degree of devastation that I think is often lost in slashers.

#100HorrorMoviesin92Days
Movie poster for Hollow Gate, it’s illustrated. in the background is a creepy old house on a hill surrounded by tree branches, there’s an ornate white gate in the mid ground with the title in a gray box over top of it, the font is yellow to red ombré, in the foreground is a jack o lantern with a knife sticking out of it, and a puddle of blood on the ground

53/100 Trick (2019)

I enjoyed this. I think it may have benefitted from being broken up into two or maybe even three movies so the plot could be more fleshed out, but I liked the idea of what it had going on.

#100HorrorMoviesin92Days
Movie poster for Trick, a splotchy red background with a person in a skull mask at the bottom from the shoulders up and the white outline of the word Trick over his chest

52/100 V/H/S Halloween (2025)

I only enjoyed a few of these, which is typical of how I feel about the V/H/S franchise as a whole.

#100HorrorMoviesin92Days
Movie poster for V/H/S Halloween, a black background, a red lollipop shaped like a skull with static at the top and bottom of the poster, and the title in white at the bottom

I’ve never watched The Office or Game of Thrones and probably never will. Not for any particular reason, I just wasn’t interested in them as they were airing and don’t really care enough to watch them now.

Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.

I can tell I haven’t been processing my emotions about everything happening in the United States currently, because I went to see The Librarians (which was very good!!) and despite being aware of everything in it, I cried through the whole thing. 😅

I would love if she took like five years off and then came back when she was 40 with the weirdest/coolest music we’ve ever heard from her.
somuchformedia.bsky.social
I used to really like her music but I can’t ignore the truth 😅
somuchformedia.bsky.social
She’s become the James Patterson of pop music. Her songs are all formulaic. Her fans will eagerly consume everything she puts out and everyone else will be left standing in the thriller aisle staring at the spines like how are there so many of these?
