One year ago today, I released one of my favourite songs of mine. "Don't Belong Here" is a pop song about loneliness and feeling disconnected. Like most of my songs, it was recorded in my hometown of Bathgate, Scotland.

My synthpop song "Satoko" was released last December, and has been my most popular track on the streamers for most of the year since.

It has a very different vibe from my other songs, and it's a style I plan to explore more in future songs.

I know I released a new song just two weeks ago, but I wanted to return to one of my favourite songs I've ever done. Inspired by Japan, "Satoko" is a song about lacking the confidence to make a move, despite all the signals.
