I used to think if they subbed me in, I could dominate my niece’s soccer games. But these girls are in 5th grade now, and I’m pretty sure they’d eat me for lunch. One of them just got drilled in the jaw with a ball and just shook it off.

My job is using the phrase “human in loop” to describe all our AI activity, for this exact reason. It’s like a machine spewing out various shaped LEGO pieces. It doesn’t know how to put them together, or even which pieces belong where. At least not yet.
