Last year I put 4 new tires on my car and 2 weeks later I went to the Nissan dealership for something else and they came back with a 27 point check that said the treads on my tires were getting low. Side eye. SIDE EYE

It’s very true. My mother was a cop for 17 years and she knows nothing about the law. She once told my daughter that she was going to be arrested for letting her boyfriend drive her car after he got into an accident in it. There were other things but that was possibly the stupidest.

New — Video shared with me shows ICE officers in DC detaining a man on Friday.

Bystander filming asks man for his name. ICE agent lies and says he’s not allowed to speak to him “by law” and another says “We’ve arrested American citizens for being too close…If he gets any closer, put him in cuffs.”

The Nobel Committee couldn’t reach Stanford professor Paul Milgrom to let him know that he had been awarded the Nobel Prize for Economics, so his fellow winner, Robert Wilson, went over to his house in the middle of the night to wake him up!

There was no reason for us to ever discuss whether gay people deserved rights. Before that, black people. Before that and even until now, women. Did it ever make sense to look someone in the face and say “sorry I don’t agree with your gender or race or choice of spouse so you’re not as human as me”

Fascism will always exist/come back because people won’t do what it takes to eradicate it. It has proliferated for the last 200 years under the guise of ‘free speech’ but the minute you allow people to have serious conversations in public about who deserves rights you are already losing the battle

If you have anyone in your life who doesn't regularly follow the news and doesn't understand how bad things are and how bad they're about to get, you need to tell them right now. Time is short.

I do wish people would stop saying their grandparents/America fought against fascism. Never happened. They ONLY joined WWII because the war came to an island that America illegitimately occupied. America was founded on genocide and its legacy of fascism continues today. Cute logo though.
