Peace out, Twitter. 16 years. Built a career there. Made friends there. Gone.

The whole thing plays as parody! It’s amazing. Like yeah defunding the police and giving people healthcare are good! What a ghoul

ICE agents kidnapped a US citizen in Chicago because she didn’t “look” American to them. She even had her US passport on her. 🤬

First time at this court.

Plus? The surface is crisp.

Minus? The double rims. Super unforgiving.

lol there’s a Nazi doxxing ring there but yeah, keep them followers girl! bsky.app/profile/srir...
srirachachau.bsky.social
Long story short, an actual Nazi doxxing ring. Enough people reported them that they went away for like 12 hours and then Elon personally brought them back. The site is dead. If you’re still on there, go lock your account right now

what even happened on the other site this time

If you are worried about losing followers on Twitter or Substack, even though both services not only allow but support Nazis, you're selling your values for a few dollars.

Does that make you proud of yourself? Maybe it does. IDK. Maybe it's worth it to you. Not me.

Right. Sunk cost fallacy.

I get it. I had 8,000 followers. For a while there, they were real people who responded, good dialogue. The last few years I saw very minimal interaction, lots of hate, angry comments etc.

Also, staying on Twitter is passively being OK with nazis. Same w/ Substack.

thank you, muckraking journalists of the bari weiss tribune, for exposing the awesome stuff zohran mamdani has tweeted about like abolishing medical bills and seizing the property of millionaires

I think this is partly generational, too.

Gen X doesn't seem to give a shit. They don't stand for much. They are permissive of fascism and shitty workplace norms because the systems in place have benefitted them forever.

Millennials actually stand for things. We also have less to lose...

I never had some MASSIVE brand, so leaving Twitter was a somewhat different choice for me than some of the big sportswriters out there. Same with Substack.

But I specifically picked Ghost for my newsletter instead of Substack because of all the Nazi stuff. Values are important and stuff.

That's true. I guess they're all passively supporting those values if they stay on twitter. There's no way they don't see racist and fascist posts every single day

Maybe this will finally push more sportswriters over here? Nah. They're OK with the nazis I guess.

Definitely is. That's specifically why they brought in Greenlaw, it seems. Him and Singleton together will be a solid combo.
sportsballitics.bsky.social
Man, I hope they do. And good to remember it’s a marathon of a season so if he can contribute down the stretch that’d be huge.
