the character ken hayakawa from 70s show kaiketsu zubat. an ongoing part of the show is characters declaring they are the greatest (golfer, billiards player, trumpet musician, etc) in japan and ken stepping up to declare they are only the second, and he is the best

Completed Shin Godzilla commission!! Main inspiration was the work of Yuji Murakami - my favorite Godzilla artist, like, ever - but then when I realized I needed to add in the cityscape to balance out the composition I turned to the Ohrai Godzilla '84 poster for reference. Love how this turned out.
