stealmyposts.bsky.social
alright, we'll give it 100 pages and see from there

like 1900's metropolitian police

and i was like... i think i need to go read a book where all the charactors have personhood...

life and people are far too wild and wonderful and chaotic to be simply ground through
stealmyposts.bsky.social
i started a book entitled "how to become a dark lord and die trying." where the opening montage is the main character killing someone and then trying to ally with baddies and getting killed repeatedly but still grinding through it until they get the exact right sequence....

Hey everybody, this guy is explaining how computers add and its pretty cool!!

i think this is sort of complex. e.g., it appears that in some cases, addition is done by counting rotations on a helix. this representation really does addition, and you can distinguish it meaningfully from "pretending" to do addition. but the model also sometimes "pretends" to do addition!

All models are wrong; some are useful.

All LLM outputs are hallucinations. Some are useful.

columbo. get the feds and police back in suits and trenchcoats and asking pointed questions of overly confident conmen

the "boomer remover" meme for covid and white male sense of vunerability to disease was a load bearing element of liberal democracy.

i increasingly hate that a fanfiction author i literally found to boring and self-satisfied to read has relavance to the current state of intellectual history.

never not posting that socrates was a troll who supported the thirty tyrants and corrupted the youth by "just asking questions..."

After the Peloponnesian War - I promise this is relevant - Sparta installed an oligarchic puppet government, the Thirty Tyrants, in Athens.

What rapidly became clear was that Athenian democratic habits were so deeply rooted that tremendous violence would be necessary to remove them.

One of the subtle and most powerful changes to education occurred when IDEA required us to educate Everyone. We got so much better because we couldn’t ostracize or throw away the hard kids.

And now these losers and weaklings want to quit.

And They will continue to group chat their way through the apocalypse like they did Covid and how long will they be able to stand their own company?

including treasury. I want a machine in congress with three keys (nuclear bomb style) that sends appropriations directly to departments with no path through the executive.

I think they might do something really stupid like pay all the NCO’s and special ops and leave the logistics, infantry and officer corps out to dry

On a group chat for Feds, everyone checking in to see who is still employed. Every single one of them has a story about the invisible good they do or support that will just not happen. And it's so diffuse that people probably won't even realize what they've lost.

Hey as part of a minority religion that has self-funded for centuries, publicly praising people for good works, charity in really loud and ostentatious ways is honestly good praxis.

But make sure you get the money first and mock any fakers (in action, the heart is God’s problem) mercilessly

There will be a test afterwards and please note all acronyms will be used as both verbs and nouns.
