I have multiple windows with a lot of open tabs. Bluesky, Guardian, Wikipedia, tabs to research things, help with languages or GIMP, and most of all: many articles I want to read later (and seldom do).

The trick is to make a regular backup. ...which I often forget. I claim age as my excuse, too. 😁

It also helps to see resistance all over the world. They are organising worldwide, so must we. If nothing helps, I read a book someone recommended here or just look at a clip of some ducklings.

It is nice to discover things all around the world, but what really helps me is finding people to organise or just commiserate with. I spent the first term of The Clown reading The Guardian in the evening and then seething all night. It's so much better now on Bluesky. /2

I guess The Clown was nominated by a hundred people, but that doesn't mean anything. Zelensky knows that perfectly well. He has a country to defend against a cruel enemy. Not hitting The Clown in the face when he was in the White House was a much harder thing to do.

Most of them made no secret of their dislike for parties and their divisive effects. For me the two-party system, or even any first-past-the-post system, is bad, but the real gravedigger was "Citizens" United, the legalisation of corruption.

It's a horrible story of abuse. A coroner stepped in after CPS failed. Let's hope that this changes their mind. The UK laudably was the first? country to make coercive control a crime, but CPS often drops the ball on accusing perpetrators of any abuse.

Ich habe das jetzt ganz bei meinem Gang zu Ende angehört. Es hat meine Toleranzschwelle bei deutschen Schlagern etwas überschritten und "Ton, Steine, Scherben" gehören da wirklich nicht rein. Aber schöne Zusammenhänge, z.B. @27:55 die konspirativen Wohnungen der RAF, gefolgt von Fiesta Mexicana /2

Kausalität und Korrelation sind denen, die daraus Schlagzeilen machen Fremdwörter. (Das sind die sogar tatsächlich 😁).

Was tatsächlich belegt ist, ist dass schlecht gemachte Radwege Autofahrer die Vorsicht vergessen lässt, aber das ist ja auch nachvollziehbarer. Muss man halt besser markieren etc.
