I cannot find any decent photos, much less any in-depth information about this fantastic drummer, apart from a short, witty biography by Eugene Chadbourne.
However, he unquestionably left his mark on modern jazz.
Read it!
I did, many years ago, not sure I could cope with it now though. Really enjoyed it at the time, I came away with a long list of other ‘difficult’ books I never read 😃
