No, if only because he was fired before he inflicted lasting damage. From the perspective of a raised from the cradle Bruin fan with 55 years of watching Pac 8/10/12 football, I'd say Oregon State's Joe Avezzano (0-11 in 1980, 6-47-2 overall) left the deepest crater of any Pac 12 coach.

His one & only saving grace: AFAIK, no one hit the transfer portal immediately upon his dismissal, and there's been no finger pointing or internal divisions on display. He recruited a decent group of players, he just couldn't create a winning strategy.

Art Blakey (Oct 11, 1919 – Oct 16, 1990) was a jazz drummer and bandleader who, in the 1950s, with Horace Silver, formed the Jazz Messengers, a group that he was associated with for the next 35 years.
