To be fair I was sorely tempted as they had also placed bags 💼 on two other seats to stop people sitting there….

Fiendish old man habits.
Even if other places are available, choosing to sit on the seat 💺 in a train 🚆 on which someone else is resting their feet
May need to go to confession… again 🤦🏽‍♂️😉

A few more beads worked into prayer. Love working with Job’s Tears and found a centrepiece of Padré Pio to go with them. Also a few decades for those who have little time or tiny pockets

We have built a society in which people of different skin tones, religious backgrounds & cultures get along, share power, work alongside each other, procreate with each other, recognise the each other’s humanity and democratic rights. It is a STUNNING ACHIEVEMENT OF WORLD HISTORIC PROPORTIONS.

I know statistics are poorly understood and are misused. But facts matter

Between the 1991, 2001, 2011 and 2021 Census *every* ethnic group in the UK has become *less* geographically segregated and *all* groups, majority and minorities, are more likely to interact with people not like them

“he managed to believe, or to pretend he believed, that she wouldn't do anything very bad to them, 'Because,' he said to himself, 'all these people who say nasty things about her are her enemies and probably half of it isn't true. She was jolly nice to me, anyway, much nicer than they are.”

Oof.

Nearly two children in every classroom in England have asked for mental health support.

For many, mental health issues begin in childhood.

This #WorldMentalHealthDay, it's important to understand how vital early support is to tackle problems before they become overwhelming.
Blue background, white box with text in black reading: 'Every child deserves to be heard before they reach crisis point. Early support hubs and drop in centres are lifelines for teenagers - safe spaces where they can talk to a trusted professional and get help quickly before problems become overwhelming.' Small font underneath reading #WorldMentalHealthDay. The Children's Society logo at the bottom centre.

After a long pause, I've just done another England Covid & NHS update as we head into the autumn/winter season.

TLDR: we're in a significant Covid wave now, the NHS is stretched, get boosted if you're eligible.

The Innocent Victims' Memorial was dedicated #onthisday in 1998.

Lying just outside the Abbey's west door, the memorial is to remember those who have suffered death, torture and oppression throughout the world.
