Good, and thanks to Amanda Moore, who has been reporting on Ingrassia a long time. So long that any notion that this collapse means Trumpism thinks Ingrassia went too far was absurd; they’ve long known and tried to get him in anyway.

Nothing says “America First” like selling out U.S. beef and soybean farmers to buy Argentine beef instead. #ArgentinaFirst

honestly dems should just refuse to engage in the appropriations process if this is how things are now
NEW: The White House is reprogramming billions in congressionally approved spending during the shutdown, aiming to pay troops, ICE agents and others who work on programs that fulfill the president's political agenda. Some of the money comes from Trump's tax cuts. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/21/u...

Agree with @gregsargent.bsky.social here.
Democrats should be drawing up legislation right now, this very minute, to bar Trump from helping himself to $230 million in taxpayer funds from DOJ. Challenge Republicans to hold a vote on it. Push this so hard in the media that every GOP Senate and House candidate is pressed to comment on it.

Here's the thing I don't understand. You can't as much as sneeze near a historic site in Washington without like 14 commissions, councils, and advisory boards giving you the okay. And everybody now is like...yup, fine with us? wtf?
NEW: After The Washington Post reported Monday on the demolition of the "East Wing facade," a new picture obtained by Law Dork that was taken on Tuesday shows that a substantial portion of the entirety of the East Wing has been demolished.

Brian Schatz: "This is not about money. There is enough money to bail out Argentina with $20b. There is enough money to purchase a brand new aircraft for $173m for Noem. There is enough money to renovate the WH ballroom. What there isn't enough money for under this Republican government is you."

Goldman: "We are combining the weaponization of the DOJ with his grift and corruption to make money off the presidency. It is completely absurd. Trump would've been convicted at trial in both of those cases. The only reason they went away is bc he won the election...it's a shakedown of his own govt"

Without the authority to do so, he’s demolishing the entire East Wing of the White House. Every major Democratic voice should be pounding him & his enablers. Any Democrat thinking about running for president in 28 should pledge to bulldoze Trump’s fucking ballroom if elected.

Meet the moment Dems.

"Trump is demanding that the Justice Dept. pay him about $230 million in compensation for the federal investigations into him."
Rather than rely on the bribes he's solicited from foreign and U.S. businesses, Trump is going direct – trying to raid the U.S. Treasury.

He is literally not paying for it.

Trump notes the sound of construction of his new ballroom at the White House and says, "that's music to my ears. When I hear that sound, it reminds me of money. In this case it reminds me of lack of money because I'm paying for it."

So now the White House confirms the summit is off. So does that mean sanctions on Russia and Tomahawks for Ukraine? Not likely. Another Putin win. But at least we don’t risk the potential disaster of another summit where Putin gets even more.
Russian comments on Monday suggest that the Kremlin may not even agree to a Budapest summit. So the only point of the Putin-Trump phone call was to dissuade Trump from providing Tomahawks to Ukraine. Once again, Putin gets his way with the US president.

Wild! Just three days ago they called the same people “terrorists, anti-American, and extremely violent.”
I rarely even read this stuff…because it’s just becomes too much. But, my god, these people are some of the most arrogant, asinine and childish people to have ever walked this planet….Unbelievably and pathetically immature. Just nauseating. And she’s so impressed with herself 🫤

That’s our House, our history.

The fact that it happened today stinks of retribution for Saturday.
