I don't get to just declare myself an ally - that's something only members of the marginalized groups I support and defend can decide about me. And, if granted, that allyship can be revoked the moment I do, say, or advocate things that harm or erase them.

The only thing they didn’t add if you’re LGBTQ and traveling to Palestine is “may be beheaded or thrown off building”. I guess that’s not politically correct.

I am making a lovely lentil soup with pieces of onion in the veggie drawer, wrinkly tomatoes, carrots, and potatoes threatening to spoil. Fresh herbs in paper towel trying to dry themselves out-nope, using them.

Soup is so forgiving that way.

It makes your house warm and good smelling.

I always keep a partial onion in the deli drawer and call it my "sandwich onion" which renders it off-limits for other use.

A shift of just five percent (1 in 20) in white votes would have won Harris the election by a comfortable margin. A shift of five percent of non-white votes wouldn't have changed the outcome.

But my fellow whites were too racist to even muster that.

We whites are the problem, time to accept that.

It's not the split, it's the *volume* of white votes that matter. A small shift in white votes obliterates a small shift in non-white votes. By a massive amount.

During the encounter, Greeley said they told her she “doesn’t look like” a Greeley.

“They said this isn’t real, they kept telling me I’m lying, I’m a liar,” Greeley recalled. “I told them to look in the rest of my wallet, I have my credit cards, my insurance.”
