Thankfully I'd already started going elsewhere for unrelated insurance fuckery, but there's this new notification I just got. Planned Parenthood is no longer able to take medicaid, due to the ongoing fascist regime.

The people responsible for this can go sodomize themselves with a cheese grater.

Thank you for trusting us with your health care. We are reaching out today with an important notice for our patients with Medicaid coverage.
President Trump signed a law passed by Congress that removes all Planned Parenthood health centers from the Medicaid program nationwide. This has nothing to do with our qualifications as a health care provider. Rather, this is a purely political decision to deny patients the right to come to our offices because the name Planned Parenthood is on the door.

As of September 29th, patients are no longer able to use their Medicaid coverage to pay for any health service at Planned Parenthood South Atlantic (PPSAT) health centers. This applies to all services at Planned Parenthood including gender-affirming care, birth control, cancer screenings, testing and treatment for STIs, and annual well-person visits. Patients who previously used Medicaid to pay for services with us will need to use other insurance, pay out of pocket, or transfer care to another provider who is still able to accept Medicaid.
We understand that this is frustrating and upsetting. We intend to do whatever we can to take care of our patients.
This change is specific to Planned Parenthood. If your Medicaid was previously covering gender-affirming care prior to September 29th, that has not changed, and you will still be able to use your Medicaid to cover visits with providers outside of Planned Parenthood.
If you are unable to pay for your needed services, please reach out to discuss your options. We can also provide resources for finding providers who are able to accept Medicaid and can manage your care. We are happy to facilitate referrals if needed.
Our health centers are open and operating under their normal hours. Visit ppsat.org to make an appointment. You are welcome to message us through MyChart or contact us by phone if you have questions or concerns.
We are committed to working with you to ensure you can get the care you need, no matter what.

We've seen the "it's okay if the bad people die" shit - that's what Reagan pulled during the AIDS crisis. He thought it was fine as long as it was just killing the gays.

We also saw it from Trump during the initial covid outbreak; he refused to act because he thought it was just hurting Democrats.
