plus it installs over wifi instead of off the disc which is useful here, since it wouldnt be able to install off of the scratched disc

like i get why people dont like it, feels like DRM or whatever the fuck, but i find it very useful

its situational but for example, I have a disc for GTA 4, it's scratched and doesn't fully work in our Xbox 360. It loads but at a certain point it fails to read. BUT, since it is still readable to the point where the system knows it's GTA 4, it still works as a key to play on the Xbox One

ok this take might actually be kinda controversial, but i actually like how the xbox one and series x handles xbox and xbox 360 discs, like installing it and just using the disc as a key. its kinda useful in some instances.
