Admit it, you thought about this more than once in the past 10 years.

Given the incompetence at the helm I think UK won't leave ECHR by a proactive and noticeable action, but by some stupid omission that nobody catches until it's too late.

Can't relate. Been using @opensuse.org since 2010 and following the old adage "Never touch a running system" - no issues ('cept Nvidia <.<).

Still remember people at uni trying arch and basically sinking a LOT of time into making it actually work as a usable system.

And I've just discovered it! There goes half my day!

Great reporting right there. No price development, no ALTERNATIVES, nothing but posturing about minimal wages and capitalism.

Tariffs have rapidly increased the price of coffee—a drink with almost no nutritional value and lots of functional substitutes. Yet coffee may also be the one thing Americans can’t live without, @elcush.bsky.social writes:
The Drink That Americans Won’t Give Up Without a Fight
Coffee has almost no nutritional value and lots of substitutes. It’s also, apparently, too important to lose.

Over at Reason we have a "puppycide" tag for cop-shoots-dog stories going back to 2012. Easiest way to get a normie 4th Amendment-pilled against the cops is to show them this stuff reason.com/tag/puppycide/

TF2 Review: "I would like to praise this game, but the developer has left it to rot for years allowing a hand full of people to drive DOS attacks against the playerbase."

Summary: "Hello. I love this game!"

I was joking, but now I think I'm actually right.

Looks like Valve is adding AI-summaries to Reviews.

Hmm. Maybe tomatoes would be better? These things are very predisposed to rust.

The issue here is that the standard advice for W10 was to run with the built-in FW/Defender, which will now stop receiving updates. So you better hope that 3rd party FW is not McAffee.
The rest is correct, though. 👍

i said this a few weeks ago, but a reminder that windows 10 being "end of life" does not mean your operating system will immediately stop working. even if the OS itself doesn't get updates, the apps you use most often (the browser.) still are. more important to have adblock + firewall these days

Presenting the plague of frogs on Portland. And yes, I choose to believe God has a sense of humor & is laughing at this too.

There’s no better way to show how absurd a bully is than to ridicule their absurdity. Kudos to Portlanders! Stand United & keep exercising your 1A right to protest tyranny!❤️✊🏽

If you really need some specific SW you could still run the OS, but either air-gap the system or invest heavily in network-level protection (still an interim solution).
tanterei.bsky.social
The OS will not receive any feature updates (BIG plus IMHO) but also no security updates (big MINUS). As far as I remember you could still get ANOTHER extension for W7 back when - for severe sec. vuln. But as time goes on you'll get fewer and the system WILL become less secure.
