I think the country's in for a lot of hurt when he leaves (in a casket it seems) due to a power vacuum, as with any dictatorship.

Not quite. The centrist parties in the Weimar Republic were dragging their feet and hoping nazis could be reasoned with - that's your US dems right there.
Other extremes (like communists) weren't peaceful and were the first to get shafted for it. No equivalent in US atm, so "ANTIFA" must do.

But just looking at the place the dog is supposed to occupy: that's an elevated hard surface. I haven't seen a dog go to such a place of their own will. They don't sleep on couch tables.

Closer scrutiny is IMHO justified. Hold off on cancellation for now, though.

That is cool. Didn't know that the carbide we loved to play around as kids (and pestered the local welders for) was used like this.

Oh they are calling in sick - sick of the working conditions. Their work conditions and stress levels are horrendous. The population was already diminishing and now not getting paid? That's a fast-lane ticket to burn-out!
