A photon doesn’t experience any time passing due to relativistic time dilation.

The irony is that from the traveler’s standpoint, the closer they get to the speed of light a.k.a. causality, the more they experience moving faster than light.

Onlookers are the ones experiencing a long wait.
I'm unconvinced FTL is actually possible. I want it to be, but I'm skeptical.

There's evidence it's effectively universal speed limit rather than a property of light per se.

There's a reason I made Xorientation's plot involve an interstellar ship that uses VR worlds to keep people sane.
Faster than light travel will not happen in this century and most likely not in this millennium. Computer nerds who can’t physics good need to accept this.

Bluesky is Not Your Home: A Case for the Open Social Network to Be the Digital Coalition Streets

A lotta folks think Bluesky should be their home, that it should be someplace where they feel totally comfortable & where people who think differently than they do should be bullied out.

Absolutely! It’s a damned-if-you do, damned-if-you-don’t discursive bind. What is racism’s “undoing?”

Calling it biological fiction is narratively hijacked by other fictions like rational market individualism to deny social epigenetics.

Calling it socially epigenetic is derided as reconstituting.
100% 💪. That’s a valid interpretation of my imperfect metaphor in which it’s certainly false.

I hoped to convey that as race is a biological fiction about aptitude and pathology, I try (also imperfectly) to keep its truthful consequence separate from “trickle-out” phenotype eugenics in my thinking.
Race is often an incidental stenographer of economic privilege.

Social media can normalize anonymous activist takes and moral red lines that require spectacular economic privilege.

I try to remind myself that the economic privilege egg comes before the melanin chicken.
Part of the challenge with me and podcasting is that I’m not easily verbal and pre-recorded for “Sixteenth Minute” at a rate of about three minutes per hour 😀

Even then, jamieloftus.bsky.social and whysophiewhy.bsky.social expertly separated gold from ample silt and a few radioactive hazards 🙏 😀
Hear my thoughts as an “uncured” autistic taxpayer (😳) in this third of three Sixteenth Minute podcast episodes!

Have you read @dr-nicky.bsky.social’s book “Neuroqueer Heresies” (also on the website of the same name)?

Her discussion of autistiphobia and neurocosmopolitanism relates to what you describe.

Less than 1% of English speakers follow my unabridged thinking with comfort. Heresy is my homeostasis 🤪

SF = Some Fraternity? Some Futon? Some Fantasy League?
Thanks! Someone could still see it and say “OH MY GOSH I can’t believe you commented on @hankgreen.bsky.social, HE HAS A NOSE!” and get the Anti-Nose Society to brigade and shame me 🤪
Thanks! That's still a public reply though, isn't it? The goal of bookmarks is to track posts in a way that is not public-facing like favorites.
I can’t figure out how to do it. I need a video tutorial.
