My first pseudoscorpion observation was pure luck. Happen to see this wasp and took a shot. It was only later did I see what was hanging on the antenna.

A brown pseudoscopion hanging on to the antenna of a wasp. The wasp is yellow with black stripes and transparent wings.

I have a couple of extra Figma Design + FigJam seats that I paid for until March 2026. I’d like to give them away to those who need it the most, such as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color creators, recent graduates, immigrants, or individuals working on social justice campaigns.
Breakdown:
	•	2 Design seats — full design access (Figma Design editor).
	•	0 Dev Mode seats — no developer-mode licenses.
	•	2 FigJam seats — collaborative whiteboard access.

Roseate spoonbills will splash their wings through the water as part of their beauty routine. Here's one doing so mid-splash, facing straight ahead towards the camera. I really love this shot. #birds

Adult Oriental Whip Snakes are usually fluorescent green. I’ve met this blue/green individual a few times over recent months. Stunning morph.

Would you believe this spindly guy is an assassin bug? I picked him up initially thinking he was a phasmid…then I got a closer look at the face and saw the rostrum, and the raptorial forelimbs started to make sense! He's a member of emesinae, a reduviid subfamily I didn't know about before!

Dr Emily rescued this peacock butterfly from her apartment stairwell. She said it was hissing and making cricket noises at her. Butterflies vocalize to scare away predators. I did not know that.

Garden spiders (Araneus diadematus) can build impressive webs, at least in terms of the distance of the support lines. For the last 2 days this one has built a web where the lines go from the gutter of my kitchen roof to plants below, a distance of just over 2m. @britishspiders.bsky.social

So when I hear of students being encouraged to use GPT in college I don’t hear innovation. I hear cognitive atrophy, the inability to think critically for oneself, and total dependence on vulnerable centralized repositories of data for knowledge without ever understanding how knowledge is generated.

11. Ereban: Shadow Legacy (PC, 2024) -- Beautiful stealth game taking clues from "Assassin's Creed", "Tomb Raider", and quirky indie platformers, and applying them in a setting that while dystopian is still very unique. Stealth and traversal feel very cool once you get into the flow. Hidden gem.

497 air targets last night. Before that: Kramatorsk train station, Hroza cafe, Okhmatdyt children's hospital, Yarova pension line.

This isn't war. It's systematic Russian terror against civilians. Article 51(2) of the Geneva Conventions names it. So will we. euromaidanpress.com/2025/10/10/r...
