the wildest thing is right-wingers acting like minnesotans in videos must be outside agitators when we can all hear their accents. i don't think i could do that accent convincingly if i spent a year practicing. and neither would i wish to. have you heard that shit? craziest american accent

more art!

Last night's Bad Art For Good event was *incredible*.

We had ~100p people come out to connect with each other, commiserate over the times we're living through, and make ART!

We folded zines, we distributed ice whistles, we ate a LOT of cupcakes, 10/10, would host events in LA again.

Delete Spotify
In April 2024, Spotify implemented a new scheme: songs with less than 1k streams per year would no longer receive royalties.

The data for 2025 was just released via Luminate, and 88% of songs have been demonetized.

Read it again: 88% of songs on Spotify have been demonetized.

This is the thing you should be building today. Talk to your neighbors. Get a signal rapid response channel going. It's okay if it starts small. Have something ready that people can join when the need arises. Get the lines of communication open. That way, when ICE comes, you're ready.

Getting a lot of messages. A lot are like "Can I come help?" (appreciated, but unless you know the area very well, probably not THAT useful) or "Can I send money?" (not to me, please).

But the best ones are like "I want to build what you guys have back in my home city." YES, DO THAT. DO IT NOW.

Ok I submitted my pages, sketches, book map, etc to my publisher, and even if it took one zillion hours I still feel like it wasn’t enough and I am POOPED so I’m pretending to be a literal potato on the couch until I feel better.

It's a Linne's Cicada, originally for #invertober2024.

I fell off the Invertober train in 2024 when it got near the end. Started on this Linne's Cicada and could not finish the colour! So while I'm in a rut, decided to pick this one back up again to complete it.

I think you wanna make sure there's enough internal pressure in the balloon that it breaks when you throw it, so having something that can exert pressure to expand the balloon when filling is important.
