They are obviously SO afraid of #NoKingsDay (& actual democracy), so let's turn out in record numbers to make their day!

California, this November 4th, the whole country is counting on you.

Prop 50 puts our elections back on a level playing field, preserves independent redistricting over the long term, and lets the people decide.

So return your ballot today. Vote yes on 50.

I get the frustration and agree in general re: a willingness to step aside and mentor younger leaders. She is in a position to take on Collins right now and that's my primary goal for any contender. Let Maine vote, and I hope people do not damage potential candidates in case they are the nominee.

So what are you waiting for @azagmayes.bsky.social???? Time is wasting and it will have to go through the court process which will just take more time. Why do Dems dither??? Just DO IT!
teddyfan.bsky.social
Mills is a legit contender to unseat Collins with a 55% popularity rating as ME gov. Who's the entitled one as you undermine potential candidates? Let Maine voters decide. As a WM lawyer I'm guessing you won't be on the front line of suffering if Dems don't take back Congress at this critical time.

Because they follow GOP/MAGA framing and language at every opportunity.

That’s crazy. I wonder what happened in January

Support and vote for your candidate in specific races based on their skills, records, and political strategy to stop this authoritarian onslaught (and preferably refrain from irreparably damaging any potential nominees). IMO old/young is too binary at this critical time: bsky.app/profile/sifi...

Remember when you tried to tell us “the younger generations don’t think that way.” And “the young people will save us.” There are a lot of great, humane, decent, bright young people out there. But there are also a lot of these young people. And they’re not going anywhere.

Mills has a 55% approval rating in Maine as governor, and is a legitimate threat to Collins. If Platner can much that, great, have at it. I only care about unseating Collins and taking back as much of Congress as we can get to stop the bleeding. www.pressherald.com/2025/06/27/m...
More Mainers have higher opinion of Gov. Mills than Sen. Collins, poll finds
Mills, who is nearing the end of her second term, has not ruled out challenging Collins, the five-term Republican seen as vulnerable by Democrats nationally.

Go ahead and complain but political reality exists every election cycle. You'd think people would've learned from 2016 & '24 re: purity politics and the devastating consequences when candidates are bashed and voting is suppressed as kids go w/out food and elderly w/out meds due to GOP control.

And what makes you think I'm a Boomer, because I disagree with your ageist generalizations? Group think much?

I can’t imagine where the #youngrepublicans exposed by Politico got such offensive white supremacist attitudes… 🤔

Yes! Someone finally saying it in plain terms. It’s also an international war crime.

Unless and until some kind of compelling legal and moral argument is presented as to why this is a legitimate use of deadly force, this is just…mass murder.

I get it and agree things need to change on a larger scale. This debate happens every cycle but whatever is going on right now, IMO it’s better to put energy into supporting your candidate. He seems to be generating a lot of enthusiasm. For me the top goal is getting Collins OUT.
teddyfan.bsky.social
So you DO care about Maine? Lol. Nice contradiction. You’re entitled to your opinion but others in Maine like Mills so time will tell.
teddyfan.bsky.social
Uh…people die unexpectedly (young people too). Throwing Ginsberg in is another generalization that ignores McConnell’s unprecedented manipulation of the nomination. No one has a crystal ball. So only “young” people should run? How young? Should they have health requirements? No smoking? C’mon.
teddyfan.bsky.social
I hate the repetitious texts and emails too but I hate fascism more. I’ll pressure a Dem Congress to pass campaign finance reform - if we actually have free and fair elections again. (& I was talking to the original poster about the primary process because he’s suggesting she shouldn’t run at all.)
teddyfan.bsky.social
Did you sign up for Act Blue to donate? They sell the lists. Politically active people care about flipping key swing seats to retake Congress. I target donations for the most impact for House and Senate races. Campaign finance reform is critical, but right now fundraising is a political reality.
teddyfan.bsky.social
You do understand she was recruited (reportedly reluctantly) because it’s a critical potential Senate flip right? Let the primary process play out.
