Vazquez has paid his dues and has prior managerial experience in the minors plus a good amount of MLB coaching experience. He’s also not too young, but not too old (49).

Last offseason, I wrote an article titled "Why Do We Do This to Ourselves?" and argued that most MLB fanbases end the season feeling miserable and that dissatisfaction was difficult to avoid.
