You probably keep seeing the thing about how there's a penalty for RP facing same batter 3x in a postseason series, and over time that's true, but it's really noisy. Didn't happen last year. Isn't happening so far this year.

I get that money buys talent, but from the manager's POV, no one's saying Rodón is a better pitcher than Schlittler right now.

I'm just not sure I agree with you on "should have beaten" the Jays, or that this was a 97 win team that underperformed.

If it's just time for a new voice and a change yeah, I get that.

I don't have any particularly strong opinion on who should manage the Yankees but I think where I land is this: a team I didn't think would make the playoffs and which suffered the loss of a top 10 SP won 94 games and a playoff round
