I’m reposting this, but grudgingly because Vee and I have a graphic novel out on submission *right now*. Please give them work, but don’t you dare steal them away or you’ll face my pencil-necked wrath.

Hello #PortfolioDay!

I like to do creature design, character design and fantasy illustration. My current personal project is called Flowerpunk, a story about magic and monsters with a Solarpunk twist!

☕ - ko-fi.com/kayaskosmos
A drawing of eight tiny little clover people known as "cloverkin" crossing over a mossy log. One is sitting on a broken branch stump, one is waving at us, one is showing a four-leafed member a tiny leaf they found while the four-leafed cloverkin holds a tiny staff and looks impressed. There is a parent and child cloverkin skipping along the branch behind them and at the far end of the log, one cloverkin is giving another a piggyback. In the background there is a forest and a river. A drawing of a creature known as a “Moonstalker.” This is a creature from the “Flowerpunk” webcomic. The drawing takes place at night and the canvas is dominated by a navy blue colour scheme. In the foreground are some cliffs and tress. Off in the distance is a grassy plain with a river running through it. Even further into the distance, the moonstalker strides across the landscape, its tail stretching off far into the distance. The moon-shaped structure on its back climbs high into the sky, lit up by the light of the moon. There is a small mountain range along the horizon and some nimbus clouds billow up into a starry sky. A drawing of 7 characters who are part of "the lovely anarchists" in the Flowerpunk webcomic. From left to right, Bruno, Cassie, Molly, Kimi, Ludwig, Earwig and Maggie. Maggie is at the front of the group clapping her hands and singing. Ludwig is playing a pride-themed electric lute while Earwig follows looking excited. Kimi is vibing to the music behind Ludwig, Molly is marching energetically and Cassie is stopping her hat from blowing off. At the back of the group, Bruno is doing a proud march/jig along to the music. A drawing of an earth colossus crossing the Scottish coast. The colossus has six legs and somewhat resembles a massive bull-like ungulate. It is made from earthy materials and has forests and plains growing on its back. There is a strong fossil motif running throughout its design, including its lower legs which resemble giant shells. The creature also has huge, stony antlers protruding from its head, though its face is a cross between bull and human. It also has several manmade structures on its back, including giant glass domes with trees inside, some modern wooden and stone huts and the ruins of an abbey on the back end. It is also has several airborne wind turbines tethered to it. In the foreground of the image are two climate scientists on the clifftop observing the creature. They have set up some equipment for measuring meteorological conditions.

UK comic making pals, if you’ve got a Kickstarter running (or one coming up), there’s currently a Canada postal strike & Royal Mail’s paused shipping there. Evri’s fine for small parcels, but floppies might face delays until the strike is over, might wanna update your backers👍

I think it's been announced so I'm safe enough to say @lucysullivan.bsky.social & I have a strip in this, rescued from the wreckage of a certain anthology fiasco...

Lucy is one of my favourite creators and people and I bought every issue of A1 and Deadline ever printed, so this means a lot to me.

The Virgo, my concept for a crewed mission to Venus sometime in the next century. The design is based on the astrology glyph for the planet. It uses rotational artificial gravity.
A ship in front of Venus. The ship is shaped like the symbol for Venus, with a big ring and then inhabited portions on a tether.
