Big 9hr jaunt up Ben Avon today.....with 22km of cycling and 20km of walking. There's nothing quite like getting back to your bike after a long walk on a big hill and knowing your feet will be getting a rest. The pedal out of Glen Gairn was sooooooo nice! 🙂

One of those perfect days. Several times almost moved to tears by the beauty.

Ok. Did everyone get to see a temperature inversion today? Ours was from a brief dash up Little Mell Fell.

Recreational stile, being made to do some work.

Photo: Somewhere near Shutlingsloe, September 2013

#SignsOnSunday #Hiking
A wooden stile on a grass covered hillside. It doesn't provide access to anywhere but it is supporting a makeshift sign. The sign is a wooden board with words in white paint on it that say: "Look for stile 30 MTS in wall." There is also a painted arrow, pointing right. On the right, there is a glimpse of dry stone wall and on the left, in the background, a signpost and a distant hill on the horizon.

Munro #67 Ben Vorlich - in the cloud from 600m and felt like someone was power washing the summit when I got there! Rain & 30-40mph wind. Now pitched up having tea 😋👍 #munrobagging #munro #scotland

Surely you would vote green as I assume you support the bulk of their policies and indy currently, is only one. The big threat from reform to us all is imminent, indy is still a way away and there will be much debate and a referendum at that time.

Kerlingarfjöll - the colours, the light, the stillness

The quiet power of these mountains reminds me of what´s worth holding close to your heart.

A softly shaped mountain landscape in different shades of brown with small patches of green moss scattered across the slopes. A beam of sunlight falls on a small area , while the rest lies under grey clouds. The light adds a gentle contrast to the scene.
